According to .de the failure from last night causing a lock out from WoD for several hours is coming from a database failure.
So far nothing is known about compensations, stay tuned.

With the next update on Monday, there will be a new feature to replace the "vote for fame" system.

The new system will be performed by raffle, held by Claudius Moneybags. Each day that you log in to World of Dungeons you will receive a lottery or raffle ticket. If you have a Facebook account that is connected to your game account here, and you have clicked the "Like" link, you will also receive an additional ticket.

Under Bazaar -> Raffle you can redeem these tickets. You have a chance to win Gold, Fame, Items, or Premium Account Time.

The update will be implemented during the course of the day on Monday (no specific time set). Due to this, the vote buttons may not work from time to time, but they should work again normally on Tuesday.
